Aaron Wehner

Aaron Wehner is Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development for the Crown Publishing Group, and Publisher of Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press. During his time in the Crown group, he has served as publishing lead on the acquisition and integration of Rodale Books and Compendium, co-founded the award-winning digital publication PUNCH (sold to Vox in 2021), launched the division’s illustrated licensing business, founded Ten Speed Graphic—the first dedicated adult graphic novel program within Penguin Random House—and launched Crown’s children’s imprint, Ten Speed Young Readers. Aaron oversees the publishing programs of such luminaries and brands as Ina Garten, Yotam Ottolenghi, Martha Stewart, Dolly Parton, Matty Matheson, Marie Kondo, Bryant Terry, Death & Co, and Dungeons & Dragons. On the executive team of Crown, he works closely with the group to shape ambitious, cross-imprint, and multi-book collaborations with the division’s incredible roster of authors.
Jill Flaxman

Jill Flaxman, Senior Vice President and Deputy Publisher of Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press, oversees frontlist strategy and operations for the Potter and Ten Speed book programs. Prior to this role, her nearly thirty years at Penguin Random House have included six years as Director of Publishing Operations for the Crown Publishing Group, three years as Executive Director of Marketing for the group, and six years as Group Sales Director. She has worked on bestselling books from authors such as Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, George W. Bush, Ina Garten, Gillian Flynn, Deepak Chopra, Yotam Ottolenghi, and Marie Kondo, among many others.
Molly Birnbaum
Vice President and Editor in Chief, Ten Speed Press
Molly Birnbaum joined Ten Speed Press in 2022 as Vice President and Editor in Chief. She is passionate about authority-driven, beautifully crafted books in cooking and lifestyle, as well as prescriptive titles that give readers tools for personal growth, interpersonal connection, and cultural conversation. Her list includes acclaimed authors such as Meredith Hayden, Yotam Ottolenghi, Elizabeth Kolbert, Sami Tamimi, Vaughn Vreeland, Pim Techamuanvivit, Jim Meehan, and Luisa Weiss, among others. She also collaborates with beloved brands such as New York Times Cooking, Rebel Girls, and Tupperware to publish books that bring their unique voices to life. Before joining Ten Speed, Molly spent more than a decade at America’s Test Kitchen, where she published award-winning cookbooks and helped lead innovative programs across digital, print, and audio for both adults and kids. Kaitlin Ketchum (she/they), Editorial Director of Art, Graphic, and Popular Culture, specializes in illustrated books for adults, prescriptive nonfiction titles, gift and photography books, and graphic novels. She is particularly interested in books on art, culture, science, nature, history, lifestyle, self-improvement, and social justice, and leads the Ten Speed Graphic imprint. She has acquired and edited Eisner Award and NAACP Image Award–winning books as well as ten New York Times bestsellers, including the cultural phenomenon Women in Science by Rachel Ignotofsky, the smash hit How to Win at Chess by Levy Rozman, and the Carnegie Medal–nominated Project 562: Changing the Way We See Native America by Matika Wilbur. Kelly Snowden, Editorial Director, Food, Beverage, and Wellness, is interested in smart, compelling narratives that encourage readers to explore new territory. A large focus of her list is culinary; she has acquired and edited the New York Times bestsellers Good Lookin’ Cookin’ by Dolly Parton and Rachel Parton George, Soups, Salads, Sandwiches by Matty Matheson, Foodheim by Eric Wareheim, and Turkey and the Wolf by Mason Hereford. She is also the editor for the NAACP Image Award winner Vegetable Kingdom, the James Beard Award winners Love Japan and The Pho Cookbook, and the André Simon Prize winner Champagne. Matt Inman, Vice President and Editorial Director, Entertainment and Special Projects, loves distinctive voices, immersive journeys, and books that entertain as they teach. She is the editor of a fun and eclectic list that includes immersive, otherworldly cookbooks, role-playing guides for young readers, special-edition boxed sets, illustrated humor, and instructional graphic nonfiction. Notable titles include Dungeons & Dragons: Worlds & Realms, Dungeons & Dragons: Puncheons & Flagons, and the Dungeons & Dragons: Young Adventurer’s Guide series, as well as the bestselling Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes’ Feast cookbooks; The Witcher Official Cookbook; and upcoming gift and coloring books with Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Magic: The Gathering.
Eric Klopfer
Publishing Director, Licensing
Eric Klopfer, Publishing Director, Licensing, leads the entertainment-licensing initiative for the Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press imprints at Crown Publishing Group. He works closely with the publisher and the editorial and design teams to build existing licensing relationships as well as to identify and develop new and exciting partnerships. Before coming to Crown in 2023, Eric managed the illustrated entertainment list for the adult division of Abrams, where he worked since 2007, as Editorial Director, Entertainment. He acquired illustrated and narrative nonfiction titles across multiple categories, including film, television, animation, and gaming, and he edited several bestselling entertainment titles, among them The Wes Anderson Collection and The Sopranos Sessions. Eric has long-standing relationships with evergreen licensors including Hasbro, Paramount, and Marvel, and he is primarily interested in behind-the-scenes and oral-history books, biography, and/or works of cultural criticism covering contemporary and historic cinema, television, animation, gaming, and pop culture.

Julie Bennett (she/her) is Vice President and Executive Editor at Ten Speed Press. Prior to this role she was Editorial Director at Ten Speed Press for eleven years. She specializes in illustrated lifestyle and prescriptive nonfiction with a particular interest in health and wellness, food and beverage, nature, pets, art and design, writing, and home. She has edited books by New York Times bestselling cookbook authors David Lebovitz, Aaron Franklin, and Danielle Walker; tidying phenom Marie Kondo; world-renowned mushroom expert Paul Stamets; animal welfare superstar Hannah Shaw, aka, Kitten Lady; and award-winning spirits writers David Wondrich and Robert Simonson. She is the editor of a wide list of titles, including Islas by Von Diaz, Bright Cooking by Camille Becerra, Everyday Radiance by Heidi Rose Robbins, Tin to Table by Anna Hezel, Masa by Jorge Gaviria, and Homebody by Joanna Gaines. Before joining Ten Speed Press in 2023, Cristina edited award-winning food and lifestyle projects at Chronicle Books, HarperCollins, and Abrams Books.

Senior Editor
Claire Yee (she/her), Senior Editor, acquires and edits for both Ten Speed Press and 4 Color Books. She focuses on food, drink, craft, and lifestyle titles, and is passionate about amplifying voices that are underrepresented in the traditional publishing space. Her list includes New York Times bestsellers and James Beard/IACP winners and finalists, such as Zoë François’s Zoë Bakes Cookie, Jing Gao’s The Book of Sichuan Chili Crisp, Shelley Lindgren and Kate Leahy’s Italian Wine, and Matty Matheson’s Soups, Salads, Sandwiches. She is also the editor of the Dungeons & Dragons Heroes’ Feast cookbooks and Dungeons & Dragons Crochet. Her forthcoming projects include books from Gregory Gourdet, Nite Yun, Steph Grasso, Sherry Pocknett, and Carla Hall. Claire is also the co-chair of mentorship and retention for People of Color in Publishing, a grassroots group dedicated to supporting, empowering, and uplifting racially and ethnically marginalized members throughout the publishing industry.

Thea Diklich-Newell (she/her), Editor, joined Ten Speed Press in 2024 after previous positions at Little, Brown and the Stuart Krichevsky Agency. She specializes in highly prescriptive nonfiction, with a focus on authority-driven, research-backed titles in the areas of self-help, parenting, mind/body/spirit, career, sex and relationships, and how-to, among others. In previous roles, she has worked with authors such as Jeff Guenther, Michael Breus, Chaya Milchtein, Accidentally Wes Anderson, Brittany Mullins, Jodi Wellman, Ayesha Curry, and Pamela Anderson. Thea is now focused on building out the 1-color nonfiction list at Ten Speed.

Dena Rayess (she/her) joined Ten Speed Press as an Editor in 2024. She was previously at Chronicle Books, where she acquired and edited bestselling projects. Her list is a mix of food and entertainment publishing, with a focus on smart and charming storytelling from underrepresented and diverse voices. She is always on the lookout for bite-sized single-subject projects from leading experts in the field, quirky and helpful gift books, and cookbooks that feature a unique point of view. Topics include food, drinks, pop culture, pets (dogs and cats equally valued), crafts, history, and humor.
Kimmy Tejasindhu
Associate Editor
Kimmy Tejasindhu (she/her), Associate Editor, is excited about books that champion new perspectives and challenge the boundaries of genre and format. Kimmy has experience editing and acquiring comics and graphic projects across memoir, fiction, adaptation, and more for the Ten Speed Graphic imprint, as well as photography/art, pop culture, and gift titles. She edited Nora Krug’s New York Times bestselling adaptation of Timothy Snyder’s On Tyranny. Kimmy spearheads Ten Speed’s comic book cookbook publishing, which includes successful titles such as Let’s Make Ramen! and Let’s Make Dumplings! by Hugh Amano and Sarah Becan, Let’s Make Bread! by Ken Forkish and Sarah Becan, and forthcoming additions to the series from exciting creators such as Kay Sohini and Linda Yi.
Zoey Brandt

Zoey Brandt (she/her), Assistant Editor, acquires and edits across a range of topics and is especially interested in the pop culture, art, entertainment, gift, and fun-scriptive spaces. She works on licensed Dungeons & Dragons titles and has acquired books such as Chrissy Tracey’s Forage & Feast, Samantha Dion Baker’s Draw Your Adventures, and Jenna Moreci’s How to Write Romantasy. She edited Dr. Gordon Walker’s Dr. Fun Guy’s Passport to Kingdom Fungi and Miranda Mundt’s Muted graphic novel adaptations and is the editor of Camilla d’Errico’s Pop Manga coloring book series. Zoey initially joined Ten Speed as an intern in 2020. Prior to that, she completed her master’s degree in publishing at Kingston University and was the copy editor at Welum.
Kausaur Fahimuddin

Kausaur Fahimuddin (she/her), Assistant Editor, edits and acquires across a wide range of topics, including prescriptive nonfiction, illustrated gift, coloring books, graphic novels, and licensed titles. She is the editor of the revised edition of Catherine Price’s How to Break Up with Your Phone and Morgan Bouvant and Sébastien Carayol’s Skateboard Culture. Her acquisitions include Kelsey Oseid’s Owls and a four-product deal with pop art brand Dumpster Fire. She has also provided editorial support on multiple New York Times bestselling and Eisner Award–winning titles. She previously interned at North Atlantic Books, worked as a copy editor for Kodansha, and is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course.
Gabby Ureña

Gabby Ureña Matos (she/her), Assistant Editor, edits and acquires both 4-color and prescriptive titles in the cookbook, mental health, wellness, lifestyle, and gift spaces. She has acquired books such as Small Talk by Richard and Roxanne Pink, High-Spirited Play by Evie Negri-Albert, and The Salad Project by Clem Haxby. Forthcoming projects include Rebel Girls Make Dessert by Rebel Girls Inc and Revel by Mariana Velásquez. She also has provided editorial support on books such as Hot Springs, Mastering the Art of Plant-Based Cooking, and Good Lookin’ Cookin’. She is a part-time yoga teacher and has a past in clinical psych research. Both have left her with a soft spot for projects that integrate philosophies from either subject.
Laine Whittier
Editorial Assistant
Laine Whittier (she/her), Editorial Assistant, joined Ten Speed Press in September of 2025. Her primary interests are in food, beverage, and lifestyle titles that convey meaningful, unique perspectives to readers. She initially joined Ten Speed as an intern in the summer of 2024 and has returned after receiving a master’s degree in food business. She worked as an intern at W. W. Norton and has experience freelancing for PRH and other independent editors, as well as in the recipe testing and development side of the cookbook process.
Kelly Booth
Creative Director
Kelly Booth is the Creative Director at Ten Speed Press, where she oversees a multi–award-winning team of designers. She has shaped the look of more than five hundred titles during her twenty-plus-year career and is recognized across the publishing industry for her ability to merge striking, design-forward aesthetics with a deeply collaborative creative process. At Ten Speed Press, she has led the design of numerous New York Times bestsellers, including There and Back by Jimmy Chin, Project 562 by Matika Wilbur, and the official Dungeons & Dragons Heroes’ Feast series of cookbooks. Her work also includes celebrated collaborations with U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo and artist Dana Tiger on Washing My Mother’s Body, and with fantasy illustrator Yoshi Yoshitani on Beneath the Moon. An artist herself, she has held residencies at Joshua Tree National Park, Cape Cod National Seashore, and Château d’Orquevaux in France, and her work has been exhibited at venues like the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she continues to mentor and champion emerging design talent and scouts new voices and visual trends that push the possibilities of illustrated publishing. Most of all, Kelly’s passion lies in the collaborative act of bookmaking—helping authors, photographers, and artists articulate their stories and bring their worlds to life on the page.

Allison Renzulli is the Vice President and Director of Marketing for Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press. She has worked in lifestyle publishing for nearly twenty years and has developed, executed, and managed campaigns for dozens of bestselling authors, including Ina Garten, Martha Stewart, Matty Matheson, Alison Roman, Dolly Parton, David Chang, Yotam Ottolenghi, Amber Lewis, and more.

Katherine Tyler is Vice President and Director of Publicity and Brand Management, overseeing the publicity team for the Clarkson Potter, Ten Speed Press, Ten Speed Graphic, Ten Speed Young Readers, and 4 Color Books imprints. A twenty-year veteran of Penguin Random House, she has launched bestsellers across multiple categories from authors including Ina Garten, Martha Stewart, Yotam Ottolenghi, Dolly Parton, Sarah Fennel, Alison Roman, David Chang, Julius Roberts, Jimmy Chin, Meredith Hayden, the New York Times, Michelle Obama, and many more.
Rachel Berkowitz

Rachel Berkowitz is Vice President and Director of Subsidiary Rights at the Crown Publishing Group, where she oversees domestic and foreign rights across all imprints. Rachel brings expertise in licensing across categories such as business, science, history, memoir, narrative nonfiction, self-help, cookery, gift, and both commercial and literary fiction. Since joining Crown in 2009, she has negotiated rights deals for a wide range of bestselling and influential authors, including Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, George W. Bush, Deepak Chopra, Ai Weiwei, Greg McKeown, Martha Stewart, Matty Matheson, Peter Attia, Gillian Flynn, Andy Weir, and the forthcoming Empyrean Graphic series by Rebecca Yarros. She and the rights team also represent CPG at major international book fairs. Prior to joining Crown, she was a literary book and film scout for more than a decade.
