(March 31, 2014, New York, NY), E! News anchor, Fashion Police co-host, red carpet correspondent, and reality show star Giuliana Rancic is partnering with Crown Archetype, an imprint of the Crown Publishing Group at Random House LLC to write her memoir. The as yet untitled work is scheduled for publication in spring 2015 and will be released simultaneously in the U.S. and Canada in print and digital formats. Executive Editor, Suzanne O’Neill, acquired world, audio, electronic book, and first-serial rights from Richard Abate of 3 Arts Entertainment and will edit the book.

Rancic’s warm and inspiring book will cover everything from her childhood as an immigrant from a humble neighborhood in Naples, Italy, to suffering with severe scoliosis as a teenager, from her rise to the top of entertainment journalism (and all the exciting stories that have come out of working the celebrity beat), to her struggles with infertility, and from her battle with breast cancer, to the life lessons she’s learned along the way.

“The road I have had to travel these past few years to become who I am today – a mother, a wife, a cancer survivor, a TV host – was often harrowing. While I can’t say I’m glad I made that particular journey, from where I stand now, I can tell you that the destination is pretty sweet,” said Rancic.“But there are many things that my fans, my friends and even my family never knew about my private struggle.  I hope by writing this book and sharing my journey, I can be an inspiration to those facing their own personal turmoil.”

Tina Constable, Senior Vice President, Publisher, Crown Archetype said, “We are thrilled to be publishing Giuliana’s memoir. Her personal story of facing life’s ups and downs with dignity, grace, a sense of humor, and a can-do attitude, will be an inspiration to many and a terrific addition to our list.”

Rancic is the anchor of E! News, co-host of E!’s hugely popular  Fashion Police team and has been on the red carpet anchoring E!’s Live from the Red Carpet for every mega-event in the entertainment industry (Oscars, Grammy Awards, Golden Globes) interviewing the stars and getting breaking Hollywood scoop as well as fashion tips, diet and fitness advice, travel tips and all things pop culture.  She is also the host of the E! series Beyond Candid with Giuliana.

Rancic received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland and a master’s in journalism from American University.  In 2002, she joined E! News as a correspondent and in 2005 became solo anchor and managing editor for the show, taking it from the lowest-rated show on the network to #1, incredibly within one year.  Currently E! News is the most popular entertainment news program among young adults. With over 3.2 million followers on Twitter, she is also watched by millions each week on the hit E! reality show, Giuliana & Bill, set to premiere its seventh season on April 1, 2014.
