NIGELLISIMA will be Nigella’s First Book with Random House US

Nigella Lawson, food enthusiast, television personality, journalist, and internationally bestselling cookbook author, will celebrate the pleasures of Italian food in a new cookbook set for publication on February 19, 2013, by Clarkson Potter/Publishers in the United States and Random House Canada in Canada.  Titled Nigellisima, the book is Nigella Lawson’s first to be published with Random House US. It will contain 120 Italian recipes that are quick, easy to prepare, and satisfying, and the book will be issued simultaneously in print and digital formats.

Nigella is a household name worldwide, known for her popular television shows on Food Network, E! Entertainment Television, and Style, as well as for her bestselling cookbooks, including Nigella Kitchen, Nigella Express, Nigella Fresh, Nigella Christmas, Nigella Bites, Feast, and How to Be a Domestic Goddess, which together have sold more than 6 million copies. Her groundbreaking and award-winning iPhone App, Nigella Quick Collection, is currently the number one lifestyle app in the UK, Holland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

Nigellisima is something of a sentimental journey for the author, who studied Italian language and literature at Oxford University and subsequently lived and worked in Italy, including a stint as a chambermaid in Florence. Although she now lives in London with her family, she continues to regard Italy as both her spiritual and gastronomic home.

In Nigellisima, Nigella will celebrate the spirit of Italian cooking: simple, straightforward, and delicious food that elevates everyday eating into no-fuss feasts. Nigella’s Italian-inspired recipes will range from pasta dishes to desserts, from the traditional to the modern, featuring dishes that can be rustled up with uncomplicated pleasure when supper needs to be served pronto!
