The Keys: "the book they don't want you to read"

(September 28, 2016; New York, NY) Crown Archetype, an imprint of Penguin Random House’s Crown Publishing Group, announced today that it will publish a new book by music producer and social media star DJ Khaled. Scheduled for release on November 22, 2016, THE KEYS will be released simultaneously in the United States and Canada, in print and digital formats. A major force in the music industry—mogul, executive, megaproducer, and recording artist—Khaled has amassed millions of followers devoted to his inspirational, motivational, and often whimsical quotes on achieving success in life.  In his ten-second snap chat self help sermons, he refers to his pieces of uniquely phrased wisdom as “keys,” using the key emoji to signify their importance.

Written in the upbeat and positive tone for which he is known, THE KEYS will offer Khaled’s philosophy for success, featuring stories from his own life as he reveals all of the major keys. Khaled will also discuss the meaning behind some of his famous catchphrases, which have become part of the cultural lexicon despite their enigmatic nature, including “another one,” “securing the bag,” “special cloth alert,” “bless up,” and more. And throughout the book will be “Mogul Talk” sidebars, featuring insight gleaned from famous friends.

Said Khaled, “THEY tried to hide the keys from me when I was coming up. Now I’ve mastered the keys and I want to let everybody know that these are keys from my perspective. This book will help you follow your vision as long as you have passion, dedication, blood, sweat and tears, and especially ignore when THEY try to bring you down. Major Key, I wish I had this book when I was coming up. This my passion pain success, blessing and more wins! We the best!

Said Boczkowski, “As Khaled himself says, ‘The key is to have all the keys.’ We are thrilled to be the book publishing partner for this social media megastar, so everyone can ride with DJ Khaled on their own journey to success.”
