President George W. Bush to Discuss His Forthcoming Book 41: A Portrait of My Father in Exclusive Interview with CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent Bob Schieffer Scheduled for November 9 Broadcast on CBS Sunday Morning and Face the Nation
NBC News Today to Air Exclusive Interview with Presidents George W. and George H.W. Bush on Tuesday, November 11
(New York, NY—October 28, 2014) President George W. Bush will discuss his forthcoming book 41: A Portrait of My Father in an exclusive interview with CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent Bob Schieffer scheduled for broadcast on Sunday, November 9. The first part of the interview will air on CBS News’ newsmagazine show Sunday Morning with the second part airing that same day on Mr. Schieffer’s news interview program, Face the Nation.
On Monday, November 10, NBC News’ Today will feature an interview with President Bush conducted by co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. That interview will be followed on Tuesday, November 11 by an exclusive Today interview with President George W. Bush and his father President George H.W. Bush by Today show correspondent Jenna Bush Hager.
Additional confirmed broadcast appearances by President George W. Bush include interviews with Fox News Channel anchors Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren, as well as with David Greene, co-host of National Public Radio’s signature news program, Morning Edition.
On Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, President George W. Bush will pay tribute to his father and other veterans at an invitation-only event at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. President Bush will conduct a number of public book signings in the weeks to follow, with details for those events to be announced at a later date.
An intimate biography of America’s 41st President told from the unique perspective of his son and fellow President, 41 will be released by Crown Publishers on Tuesday, November 11 in the US and Canada in print and digital formats. An audio edition, read by the author, will be issued simultaneously by Random House Audio. The book will be published in the United Kingdom by Ebury, an imprint of the Penguin Random House Group.
A limited deluxe edition of 41, signed by the author and featuring a never-before-seen painting of President George H.W. Bush with his son, is also scheduled for release by Crown in the US and Canada on December 2. A Spanish language edition, to be published by Vintage Espanol, is planned for release in early 2015.
