We love attending the New York Sheep and Wool Festival held each year in Rhinebeck, New York. Who can resist all the gorgeous yarn on display, lamb cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, dog herding competitions, and (our personal favorite) the pumpkin chucking contest? Despite a few passing downpours, the festival was in full effect!

Authors Clara Parkes (The Knitter’s Book of Wool) and Lily Chin (Lily Chin’s Knitting Tips and Tricks, Lily Chin’s Crocheting Tips and Tricks) signed copies of their books in the barn for fans and garnered some of the biggest crowds of the day.
