Project of the Month: Back-to-Back Kanzashi Ornaments
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009Shiny tinsel, colorful ornaments, and twinkling lights all make elegant and classic decorations for your Christmas tree, but if you’re looking for something new this winter, try your hand at the Japanese craft of Kanzashi! These fabric flowers made from small petals made of folded fabric were traditionally used to adorn the elaborate hairstyles of the geishas, but have been reinvented by modern crafters as decorations for tote bags, clothing, and Christmas tree ornaments.
