These fabric flowers made from small petals made of folded fabric were traditionally used to adorn the elaborate hairstyles of the geishas, but have been reinvented by modern crafters as decorations for tote bags, clothing, and Christmas tree ornaments.
To celebrate the publication of their new cookbook Japanese Hot Pots, Chef Tadashi Ono and Harris Salat had a beautiful launch party at Matsuri, inside The Maritime Hotel in New York City on September 22nd.
